Mina The Hollower

Mina the Hollower bosses

28 entries

Mina the Hollower has 28 bosses across main, mini, scripted, and renegade categories. Each main Spark Generator boss drops a Spark needed to progress.

Renegades are optional roaming bosses — defeating them rewards exotic loot but they punish under-leveled builds. Filter by type below to plan your route.

Strategy tips on each boss page are sharded from the official beginner guide, IGN review notes, and demo footage. Phase patterns reflect demo-build behaviour; expect refinement post-launch.

Amedium

Armand

One of five named foes required for the 'Renegade Roundup' achievement. [uncertain] Likely a renegade Shock Trooper commander or hunt-style sidequest boss.

Emedium

Evra

One of five named foes required for the 'Renegade Roundup' achievement. [uncertain] Likely a renegade commander or hunt-style sidequest boss.

Hhigh

Hulk Trooper

A larger, stronger variant of the Shock Trooper enemy. Their size and mobility give them a long reach that makes it easy to chase down the player.

Mmedium

Maxi

One of five named foes required for the 'Renegade Roundup' achievement. [uncertain] Likely a renegade Shock Trooper commander or hunt-style sidequest boss.

Nether Krakenhigh

Nether Kraken

A kraken encountered aboard Mina's ship at the very start of the game. Officially a scripted, unwinnable encounter that ends with the ship crashing onto Tenebrous Isle. Community speedrunners have confirmed the Kraken can actually be defeated for a unique reward.

The Duchess of Queensburyhigh

The Duchess of Queensbury

A giant animated statue and eldritch horror masquerading as the long-lost companion of the timid Duke. Buried under decades of rock and rubble, she rules over the posthumous sanctum with a vengeance. Hints at the corruption plaguing Tenebrous Isle.

Tmedium

The Dugin

One of five named foes required for the 'Renegade Roundup' achievement. The definite article in the name suggests a unique named creature rather than a person. [uncertain] Possibly a unique beast boss.

Thornehigh

Thorne

A bat antagonist who was the former head of Baron Lionel's guard before betraying him. He leads the Shock Troopers and destroyed the Spark Generators. In the demo he wears 'fancy dark Dragoon armor' reminiscent of Kain from Final Fantasy IV. Serves as the demo's final boss and a major recurring antagonist.

Wmedium

Willis

One of five named foes required for the 'Renegade Roundup' achievement. [uncertain] Likely a renegade Shock Trooper commander or hunt-style sidequest boss.

Frequently asked about bosses

How many bosses are in Mina the Hollower?
28 total: a mix of main Spark Generator bosses, mini-bosses, scripted set-piece fights, optional Renegades, and the final boss.
Who is the first boss in Mina the Hollower?
The first boss in the demo and early game is Thorne, a mini-boss encounter in the opening Crypt area. The first main Spark Generator boss is the Duchess of Queensbury.
Is the Nether Kraken hard?
The Nether Kraken is mid-game and has a notorious quick-kill speedrun strat using stagger setups. With a standard build, expect 3 phases and a healing-window between each — Iron Lung trinket helps a lot here.
What is a Renegade boss?
Renegades are optional, roaming, harder-than-mainline bosses scattered across Tenebrous Isle. They drop premium trinkets and lore items but are not required to finish the game.
